High-performance cartridge with internal thermocouple and PT100
If the thermocouple is insulated from the sheath of the cartridge heater, then the cartridge heater on the side of the regulation must be grounded. Standard methods of location of the thermocouple for high-performance cartridge heaters are shown on the picture.
Heating cartridges with a diameter of 10mm or more can be manufactured with a PT100 temperature sensor placed at the beginning or end of the cartridge.
Standard types of thermocouples.
J – | -20 °C – 750 °C | Iron – magnetic – positive pole. Copper / nickel – non-magnetic – negative pole. |
K – | -20 °C – 1,250 °C | Nickel / chromium – non-magnetic – positive pole. Nickel / aluminium – magnetic – negative pole. |
